Kentucky clothes retailer buys Kentucky wholesale clothing

KYIV (Reuters) – Kentucky clothing retailer Kentucky Wholesale Clothing Holdings Ltd (KYWC) on Wednesday announced it was buying Kentucky wholesale apparel retailer K&W Clothing for $8.3 billion.KYWC said in a statement that the deal, which will be finalized by the end of the year, will create more than 1,100 jobs.

The deal also includes a $1.4 billion share buyback program.

Kentucky Wholesales was founded in 1986 and is the country’s largest retailer of clothing.

It is a major buyer of footwear, home decor, toys and accessories and other consumer goods.
